Bang Rong Pier

Bang Rong Pier on the north eastern side of Phuket Island is sign posted on the way to Ao Por Pier and have boats that can visit Phang Nga Bay. It's one of 2 piers on north east of Phuket to catch speed boats to several of the nearby islands either Koh Yao Yai ( Big Long Island ), Koh Yao Noi ( Little Long Island ), and Koh Naka.

Boat times and prices vary. Speedboats operate each day to Koh Yao Yai at regular intervals between 07.30am and 17.00pm and the journey costs around 400 baht. You can also negotiate the price for a private transfer by longtail boat.

Getting to Bang Rong Pier from Phuket Airport takes around 30 minutes. The small village close to Bang Rong pier consist of mainly Muslim residents, many of them make a living by fishing. Stop at one of the many restaurants nearby to sample freshly caught seafood.

Facilities at Nopparat Thara Pier

Bang Rong has no normal facilities, There is a few small vendors selling drinks and snacks available at the pier.
